The smallest bike in the Hartington range, the Hartington 12 Balance Bike is the perfect way to start learning to ride. The sophisticated style of the Hartington sets it apart from most other balance bikes and the front wicker basket means your child's favourite cuddly toy can join them on every mini adventure.
A bike model appearing on this website does not guarantee its availability at every one of our independent bike dealers.
If your local retailer does not have stock available, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to locate your bike of choice.

What should I look out for when buying a kids bike?
Fit and product longevity are the most important factors for your child to get the most out of their riding experience in a hassle-free manner. When comparing bikes from different brands there's actually a lot to look out for! We have tried to help you identify all the individual performance benefits on our product pages.
How can Forme be better than a junior only bike brand?
We are on a mission to get as many people riding bikes and enjoying cycling as possible. Kids bikes are just the start of the journey.
Our background, rounded experience as bike riders, parents and designers help us to take much more of an holistic approach when developing our high performance junior bikes. Most kids and grown up's can often remember their first bike so why stop offering choices when kids grow out of our junior bikes?
Forme bikes have a great team of people and have evolved to become the largest multi category British bike brand, thanks to the support of our customers, capable of scaling up our product range without compromising focus in any of the categories we represent.
Should I buy a bike my child can grow in to?
Our recommendation is to buy a bike which fits the best at the time. It's always tempting to buy a bike a child will grow in to in attempt to make is last as long as possible. This is completely understandable when you consider how many times a child will need a new bike between toddler and teen!
Our sizing guide shows a range of inseam lengths for each wheel size. If you're buying a new bike we recommend selecting a wheel size equal or up to 1cm longer than the minimum inseam measurement.
As our bikes hold their value very well, many of our specialist retailers will often provide a return and replace scheme as your child is ready for the next wheel size. We also partner thebikeclub.co.uk who offer a monthly subscription service enabling you to replace the bike as soon as they grow to reach the next wheel size so your child will always have the right size bike.

Where are your bikes made?
We use a handful of factories for our range depending on the price point and category. This helps us to achieve the highest quality and value for each price point.
Our bikes are designed and tested in Derbyshire and the Peak District, England. They are then manufactured and assembled in Asia.
Almost every brand uses Asia-based production of frames and components as they are the global leaders of high-quality bicycle production. Some other high-quality brands claim to be made in Europe although they are usually only assembled in Europe. By working with our partner factories in Asia we are able to scale up our production as we grow, offer more competitive prices and deliver bikes to our retailers more frequently.
What quality guarantee do you offer?
We offer a lifetime guarantee on all our frames from the first owner. All other components are also guaranteed for 1 year from the day of purchase. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from a crash or poor maintenance.
Please register your bike from point of purchase to activate your guarantee with us and ensure you keep a copy of your receipt. Should you experience any problem please contact the retailer you purchased from and they will handle the process efficiently with our customer services team.
