Freedom, fun, and adventure is what the Monsal was created for. With the speed of a road bike and the robustness of a mountain bike, off road adventures have never been so fun.
The Monsal is the perfect bike to appeal to any cyclist. It’s the bike that makes you realise what you love about cycling and why you started riding a bike in the first place. That feeling of freedom and adventure is what encourages us to ride and explore the places bikes can take us. With the Monsal, there are no limits to your adventure. Why be restricted to the tarmac when there is another world of cycle routes and natural terrain waiting to be discovered.
WTB Riddler tyres are built for unfaltering speed through a wide range of conditions, the Riddler delivers added gusto for the rider who places equal priority on traction and efficiency.
Flared bars
Having wider bars with drops that flare outward provides more control when compared to bars designed for standard road cycling, which were originally engineered for speed and efficiency. Additional width creates a more natural position for most people and adds stability and leverage while climbing and descending in the hoods.
Dropper cable routing
Integrated cable routing allows riders tackling more adventurous terrain the ability to fit a short travel dropper seat post and with the 30.9mm diameter it opens up the options to a variety of upgrades.
1x drive train
1x drivetrain - MicroShift 1 x 10 speed drive train with a wide range cassette provides ample gear choice without the fuss of a front derailleur.

FAQ
Where are your bikes made?
We use a handful of factories for our range depending on the price point and category. This helps us to achieve the highest quality and value for each price point. Our bikes are designed and tested in Derbyshire and the Peak District, England. They are then manufactured and assembled in Asia.
Almost every brand uses Asia based production of frames and components as they are the global leaders of high-quality bicycle production. Some other high quality brands claim to be made in Europe although they are usually only assembled in Europe. By working with our partner factories in Asia we are able to scale up our production as we grow, offer more competitive prices and deliver bikes to our retailers more frequently.
I want to custom build a Calver bike. Where do I start?
Any of our 300+ retailers nationwide can support you with a custom build. Working with a specialist bicycle shop means you can spec your bike to your exact requirements, bike fit dimensions and budget. Most of our retailers hold accounts with several wheel suppliers so you can equip your bike ready to race cross with 'tubs and deep section carbon' or go for a classic 105 build with some 'bombproof' hand built wheels from the likes of our British friends at Hope Tech.
Why is a gravel bike different to a 4 seasons or road endurance bike?
Our Monsal, Calver and Monyash bikes represent each of the above and even for the seasoned cyclist it's sometimes difficult to decide which bike is most suitable. Our bike finder tool or better still, any of our experienced retailers can help you decide. It's difficult not to stereotype but here's an attempt to help you out.
Why don’t you have more carbon bikes in the range?
We have decided to focus our team on product development and R&D within specific categories at a time to ensure we can confidently produce the very best products across each genre and discipline. Our current emphasis covers all genres you see within the range and ensures we select the most suitable tube shapes, frame geometry and material for every category we cover.
Where can I buy your bikes?
