Dedicated to sport.
We are proud partners and members of new generation cycling club, Ilkeston CC (ICC), and directly involved with the coaching of its growing youth academy in a bid to give something back to both grass roots sport and today's youngsters.
The club has well over 100 kids participating in the Academy of all levels and abilities, ranging from age 2 Balance bikers to teenagers looking for a pathway to competitive sport.
Whilst tech analysis is essential to creating a great bike, as cyclists and coaches we can see with our own eyes which elements make the greatest difference to a child's learning ability and riding skill. We then implement these real world findings into our product development to create what we genuinely believe to be the lightest and best fitting kids bikes in their category.
Further to the youth academy, the entire ethos of ICC and its values sit parallel with ours. It’s a privilege for Forme to be a part of the official Cycling Club Of The Year. Here's what Cycling Weekly had to say:
Young Derbyshire club Ilkeston CC has faced down the considerable challenges offered up to every cycling club in 2020, and in fact could even be said to have thrived. Its enthusiastic and engaged membership have left few socially-distanced stones unturned this year, from roller sessions on Zoom for its youth academy, to Everesting and actually growing its active member base when rules were relaxed in the summer.
One of its newest ventures is working with local MPs and police to promote awareness of the close-pass policy which has recently been launched in the county.
It’s a progressive and forward thinking club by nature — and from its inauguration in 2017, progress certainly has been the name of the game.
