Welcoming kids to the world of gears and freedom. Lightweight, with 8 gears to choose from and expertly designed to make cycling easy by fitting their little bodies perfectly.
For most junior bikes you should measure your child's inseam and height and refer to our sizing guide. The only exception would be for some bikes being used for cyclo-cross, road or triathlon. You can read more about the pros and cons of large wheels for junior competition here.
To build on our experience as both parents and bike riders we are involved as Coaches in our local British Cycling Go-Ride Club and sponsor a handful of riders as part of our Youth Talent Programme. This helps us to make the very best junior bikes in their category.
An ATB or All Terrain Bike is synonymous with a hybrid bicycle. All our Kinder & Cubley bikes are ATB's capable of use on road and most off road use. MTB's or mountain bikes usually feature a front and sometimes rear suspension. They are intended for more technical off road riding.
You can refer to our size guide here to find the right size bike but we would always recommend visiting your local dealer to get fitted correctly before making your purchase.

Should I buy a bike my child can grow in to?
Our recommendation is to buy a bike which fits the best at the time. It's always tempting to buy a bike a child will grow in to in attempt to make is last as long as possible. This is completely understandable when you consider how many times a child will need a new bike between toddler and teen!
Our sizing guide shows a range of inseam lengths for each wheel size. If you're buying a new bike we recommend selecting a wheel size equal or up to 1cm longer than the minimum inseam measurement.
As our bikes hold their value very well, many of our specialist retailers will often provide a return and replace scheme as your child is ready for the next wheel size. We also partner thebikeclub.co.uk who offer a monthly subscription service enabling you to replace the bike as soon as they grow to reach the next wheel size so your child will always have the right size bike.
What should I look out for when buying a kids bike?
Fit and product longevity are the most important factors for your child to get the most out of their riding experience in a hassle free manner.
